Dear Jane C7 and D7
I may have just completed the most difficult block I had left in this quadrant. C7 Megan’s Mountain Laurel. This took me two tries to get those smaller diamonds pieced. I strip pieced them, much like how I did M11 Rickshaw, only the diamonds on C7 are measured to a 1/16 of an inch (not on my ruler). So the first attempt they cam out too big. On the second attempt they came out smaller than the book draft, but it worked out ok. Then for the outer diamonds, I worked this action again. I love doing this because it gives the diamonds much more crisp points than what I can achieve hand sewing appliqué or even reverse appliqué.
Then an easy one. D7 Meeting Place came together in less than 45 minutes, which is relatively fast for Dear Jane blocks.
